Mike Buchanan is the leader of the British political party Justice for men & boys (and the women who love them)  -  J4MB.
The party is fielding candidates at the 2015 general election, and LPS publishing has made the manifesto (80 pages long in hard copy format) available as an e-book, readable on e-readers, laptops, tablets etc. The manifesto makes proposals in 20 areas where the human rights of men and boys are assaulted by the actions and inactions of the state, usually to advantage women and girls.
All proceeds from the sale of the manifesto will support the party's campaigning efforts.  Nobody associated with J4MB derives personal income from the party.
LPS is pleased to announce the publication of Mike Buchanan’s ninth book Feminism: The Ugly Truth.  Radical feminism is an extreme left-wing scourge of the modern era which assaults men, women, children, marriage, the family, academia, the legal system, the media, capitalism ... and much more. It cuts short the lives of many men and women.
Only a very small minority of women share radical feminists’ beliefs and objectives yet radical feminists have never been more influential, most notably with respect to equality legislation aimed at equality of outcome rather than equality of opportunity.  A backlash against radical feminism is long overdue.
Feminism: The Ugly Truth seeks to answer over 50 of the most challenging questions of the modern era, as reflected in a random selection of 10 chapter titles:
Are you a misogynist if you only hate feminists?
How do feminists shorten the lives of many men and women?
Are feminists less intelligent than normal women?
Are feminists less attractive than normal women?
Are some feminists (e.g. Tracey Emin) a pain in the arts?
Were the suffragettes silly?
Do feminists suffer from PPS (Permanent Premenstrual Syndrome)?
All women have a right to complain, but do feminists abuse the privilege?
Feminist theory: have the ladies been building castles in the air?
Are feminists delusional? Is the pope a Catholic? Do bears crap in woods?
The book was published on 20 February 2012 in an ebook edition (ISBN 9780957168800). The recommended retail price has been set at £6.95 / €8.45 / US$9.95 but ebook retailers reserve the right to charge different prices. It is available in a PDF format as well as formats suitable for the major e-readers: Kindle, iPad, Sony Reader, Nook, Kobo etc. Most e-reader manufacturers (including Amazon) offer free downloadable software to enable readers to read their ebooks on PCs and Macs.
The book contains a sample chapter from Mike Buchanan’s international bestseller Two Men in a Car (a businessman, a chauffeur, and their holidays in France) titled, ‘Would you like to have sex with my wife?’. It includes the book’s plate section (16 photographs).
No date has yet been set for the publication of a paperback edition.

LPS was pleased to announce the publication on 25 July 2011 of Mike Buchanan’s eighth book The Glass Ceiling Delusion: the real reasons more women don’t reach senior positions.
Peter Saunders, Emeritus Professor of Sociology at Sussex University, wrote the following testimonial for the book:
“Mike Buchanan’s The Glass Ceiling Delusion attacks head-on the militant feminist myth that men and women have the same interests and capabilities. Reviewing a wide range of evidence, he shows that the under-representation of women in senior positions in business has nothing to do with discrimination and ‘glass ceilings’, and that attempts to impose quotas are therefore fundamentally flawed. A polemical book with an important message.”
Bestselling English author Vernon Coleman wrote the following testimonial:
The Glass Ceiling Delusion is an important and brave book, the best book on social economics and society in general published for decades. It’s irresistibly compelling, cogently argued and superbly put together. It should be in all school and college libraries. It should be compulsory reading for social science, economics and politics students. It should be force-fed to male and female politicians. This is definitely a five-star book. Brilliant. Brilliant. Brilliant. Brilliant. Brilliant.”
The Glass Ceiling Delusion is priced at £9.95 inc p&p for delivery addresses in Great Britain, extra p&p is charged for delivery addresses outside Great Britain.

LPS was pleased to announce the publication on 24 November 2010 of Mike Buchanan’s seventh book, David and Goliatha: David Cameron  –  Heir to Harman?
John Strafford, Chairman of the Campaign for Conservative Democracy, penned the following testimonial for Amazon.co.uk:
“At long last Mike Buchanan has courageously taken on the radical feminists. For too long this group have dominated the public policy agenda. Pay equality, gender balance in the boardroom, all women short lists have been given far too much prominence in public life. We needed the other side to be put and in his book Mike Buchanan does just this. His description of the Prime Minister having a ‘female-pattern brain’ is an interesting aspect of David Cameron. Without being insulting it explains some of the current direction of Conservative policy.
The book calls for a fight back against the radical feminists. It deserves to succeed. Women had a long hard justifiable fight to obtain the vote in our democracy (see my book Our Fight for Democracy), but now they have it the radical feminists want special treatment. This is not acceptable, each person’s vote should have an equal value regardless of gender. Manipulating parliamentary candidate short lists to give preference to women is a distortion of democracy and anyone who believes in democracy should oppose it.”
David and Goliatha is no longer available to order as its content is (along with additional material) in The Glass Ceiling Delusion.

LPS was pleased to announce the publication in late August 2010 of Mike Buchanan’s sixth book The Joy of Self-Publishing, a 272 page guide to writing and self-publishing.
The content was updated with more material on publishing ebooks in September 2011, so it now contains advice (in both the paperback and ebook editions) on formatting book files for the major e-readers: Kindle, iPad, Sony Reader, Nook, Kobo etc.
Dr Vernon Coleman is the most successful self-publishing writer in the world and the author of over 100 books in a number of genres, including a number of international bestsellers.  He wrote the following testimonial about The Joy of Self-Publishing:
“I’ve been publishing my own books for over 20 years, after having been published by more than a dozen of London’s leading publishers including Pan, Penguin, Corgi, Arrow etc.  I’ve had books on both the Bookseller and Sunday Times bestseller lists.  During the last two decades I’ve self-published scores of books and sold millions of copies around the world.  I wish I’d had Mike Buchanan’s book The Joy of Self-Publishing when I started. It’s the best damned book on publishing in existence.  Brilliant.  I’m learning stuff from it every time I open it.  Writers who try self-publishing without reading it first  –  and without keeping it on their desks as they go on – are giving themselves an extra handicap.  And in the business of self-publishing we all start with enough handicaps.”
The Joy of Self-Publishing is priced at £9.95 inc p&p for delivery addresses in Great Britain, extra p&p is charged for delivery addresses outside Great Britain.

“A highly original and stimulating critique of the modern marriage crisis, supported by important yet sometimes uncomfortable truths.”
Oliver James, clinical psychologist, broadcaster,
author of Affluenza, Britain on the Couch, They Fxxx You Up
“Mike Buchanan’s analysis of marriage in western industrialised society is courageous and thoughtful. His perspectives on the challenges associated with marriage, and solutions to them, draw on important scientific evidence and arguments from some of our leading psychologists and wisest philosophers.  This is a ‘must-read’ for all concerned with modern marriage.”
Alan Carr, Professor of Clinical Psychology, University College, Dublin,
author of The Handbook of Adult Clinical Psychology, Family Therapy
and Positive Psychology
LPS was pleased to announce the publication on September 11, 2009 of Mike Buchanan’s fourth book, The Marriage Delusion (the fraud of the rings?).  It is a review of the institution of marriage in the developed world in the modern era, and explores why 75% of new marriages will either end in divorce, or continue, but unhappily.  And then proposes what might be done about the problem.
The Marriage Delusion is a hardback and priced at £9.95 inc p&p for delivery addresses in Great Britain, extra p&p is charged for delivery addresses outside Great Britain.  Just 500 copies have been set aside from the first print run and will be sent to the buyers of the first 500 copies ordered through this website.  The author will dedicate the books (if required), sign and number them.

Mike Buchanan’s third book, published by LPS, is a travelogue set in France, Two Men in a Car  (a Businessman, a Chauffeur and Their Holidays in France)
‘‘A splendid romp.  Vive la France!
Peter Mayle, English author of A Year in Provence and many other bestsellers
‘Mike Buchanan is the best kind of opinionated, middle-aged,
middle-class Englishman abroad  -  the funny kind.’
Andy Heslop
‘If you have a sense of humour, this book will put a big smile on your face.
I laughed out loud many times.  Refreshing absence of political correctness.’
The lovely Maureen Padley
Inspired by Jerome K Jerome’s Victorian classic, Three Men in a Boat, the book is the sometimes politically incorrect diary of Mike Buchanan and his chauffeur, Paul Carrington, as they holidayed in France for a month in August 2007 and again in July 2008.  The book is a paperback and contains 16 colour photographs taken during the holidays.
A flavour of the book may be gained from the chapter titles:
1. Our first week with Anne and Mark Phillips
2. Why My Dinner Cost 40 Times More Than Paul’s
3. Hobnobbing with Ivana Trump in Monte Carlo
4. ‘Would you like to have sex with my wife?’
5. We witness a miracle in Lourdes
6. In defence of pâté de foie gras

Mike Buchanan has long been a big fan of live guitar-based music and since 1995 he has lived in a town well-known for its live guitar-based music scene, Bedford (England).
By way of appreciation for the guitarists involved in the scene, he interviewed eight of them for his second book Guitar Gods in Beds.  (Bedfordshire: a Heavenly County).  All had colourful life stories to relate.  The book was launched in a paperback edition and included 16 colour and mono photographs of the guitarists.  Read all about:
Thunderin’ Paul Carrington being stabbed by the first of his three wives (the other two just wanted to stab him)
Finger Pickin’ Good Paul Bonas and the wild Irishmen
Amazin’ Max Milligan’s boozy tours
Laughin’ John Verity and the corrupt businessman who passed by the window of his flat  -  vertically
Blindin’ Dave King rejecting David Bowie’s offer to work together
Growlin’ Cliff Hanson, who wanted to decapitate some young men
Lightnin’ Hands Pete Rose’s dealings with Luton lesbians
Hollerin’ Bob Foley, a 66-year-old retired Bedford surgeon and bluegrass fan, with two sons under two years of age
The book is currently only available in an e-book edition (ISBN 9780956641601) priced at £7.00 / €8.50 / US$10.00, and is readable with free Adobe Digital Edition software.  Both are downloadable from Books on Board
Before taking up writing for a living, Mike Buchanan had spent most of his working life reducing costs (other than employee-related and property-related costs) for major organisations.
In 2007 he took a six-month-long sabbatical and wrote his first book, PROFITABLE BUYING STRATEGIES (How to Cut Your Procurement Costs and Buy Your Way to Higher Profits).  It is a hardback retailing for £35.00, and is available from the publisher (Kogan Page), good bookstores and online booksellers.  It has been distributed throughout the English-speaking world and in January 2010 it was published in a Chinese language version.
